Mrs. Soromidayo George

Mrs. Soromidayo George serves as the Chairman of MANEG. She holds the position and has served dutifully after she was nominated and voted and she emerged as the first female Chairman of MANEG during the last Annual General Meeting.Oluwasoromidayo George is the Corporate Affairs & Sustainable Business Director, Unilever, West and Central Africa, and the Chairperson of the UN Global Compact Network Nigeria. She is also a Co-Chair of the CEO Water Mandate Council, representing the Nigerian Economic Summit Group (NESG). ‘Soromidayo was the first female Executive Director of the British American Tobacco Nigeria Foundation (BATN Foundation) and the Head of Corporate Affairs, British American Tobacco (BAT) in West & Central Africa. She is the co-founder of the Corporate Social Responsibility and Governance Institute. In 2016, she set up the Heart of Ruth Fund (now the Heart of Ruth Foundation) to help rehabilitate women and children who are abused, or economically disadvantaged. She is a DBA candidate at Walden University where she is researching Bottom of the Pyramid marketing strategies in emerging markets. 

Soromidayo is a member of AIESEC Nigeria, Board of Advisors, a Fellow of the WIMBOARD Institute, a WIMBIZ/IE University, Madrid Executive Education Programme for Women on Boards, and was a member of the WIMBIZ Executive Council. She was an adjunct member of faculty at the School of Media and Communication, Pan-Atlantic University, and is currently a Chairman, Manufacturers Association of Nigeria Export Group (MANEG). She also sits on the Ministry of Environment’s Committee on Plastic Waste Management in Nigeria and on the Board of the Nigerian Business Disability Network.
